Germany is a center for dental technology and innovation. IDS Cologne is
the world’s largest dental trade fair. It
occurs every two years and is known
for its introduction of innovations for
the entire dental industry market. Te
March 2015 event reported approximately 139,000 trade visitors from 151
countries. Tere were 2,199 companies
from 56 countries presenting a wealth
of innovations, product developments,
and services. Tey presented on exhibition space covering more than 1.5
million square feet.
Te fair is designed for trade visitors interested in detailed information
about the latest technologies and developments in the market. Visitors can
experience innovations from around
Te German Dental Trade Association (VDDI) is celebrating its 100th anniversary. At this year’s GNYDM, VDDI
will have a special exhibit called Dental
Technology from Germany. It will feature a German Science Lab with a mu-seum-like display and unique hands-on activities for visitors.

two years, consists of more than 100
exhibitors located in a convenient
and modern convention center attached to two hotels. Attendees are
attracted from the entire French Riviera, including Cannes, Marseille, Monaco, and cities close by in Italy. Te
educational program is extensive and
includes all specialties of dentistry.
Te GNYDM and Journées Dentaires
de Nice have been partners for many
years and assist each other in expanding their individual events.
Depending on the air carrier, fights
to Nice from the United States can
be nonstop or have layovers in other
European cities. Te mayor of Nice
personally welcomes attendees to the
opening session, which is held on the
grounds of ofcial city ofces.

Expo Dental AMIC International is
a fve-day event that is held in Mexico City every May and November.
Tis annual event occurs twice each
year and attracts tens of thousands
of dentists from all of Mexico’s states.
AMIC showcases products produced
worldwide and distributed throughout Mexico. Under AMIC President
Luis Fernando Bolivar’s leadership,
there are already more than 540
booths, with plans to continue to
increase the exhibit foor footprint.
In 2015, the event included 76 clinicians presenting high-level educational programs throughout the fve
days. AMIC also maintains an educational alliance with many of the
dental schools throughout Mexico.
Te alliance encourages dental professionals to participate at its events.
